Winter Edition 3- Camel

I have to confess that I have been slightly unproductive this weekend as House of Cards came out on Thursday and Netflix has been my friend for the past 48 hours. I still however have 5 more episodes to go. For those who watch it I’m sure you will understand why. For those who don’t, I think you should get yourself a Netflix account and jump on the band wagon. As soon as I’m done typing this post I’m off to finish it as this season is just too damn good…. Anyways… I think I may have a slight obsession with camel at the minute. I’ve got camel fever.lol. From bodysuits,to skirts,a blazer, whatever you can think of, I probably have it.

In my layering post I had a camel blazer which I got from H&M years ago and I’m not surprised that camel is still in because it is such a neutral and versatile colour. I think I love it because it is the closest match to my skin tone so I treat it as my nude colour. This season I think every woman managed to bag a camel coat and I just love seeing the different outfits with the camel coat being the statement piece. I got this sleeveless babe from Missguided for £55.00. Quite pricey for me but it was more affordable than the Mango version which I loved but I had to leave it as my bank account said NO WAY MISSY!

Surprisingly, without sleeves you would think this isn’t ideal for our cold winters but it’s all down to how you layer. Pair it with a leather jacket on a rainy day or a heavy jumper for those super chilly days and you are all set. My only worry with this coat is that it wasn’t cut for petite ladies. I am 5″1 and it doesn’t fit as well as I’d want it to but nevertheless I still love it and I’m going to work it.

I paired the coat with an all black outfit comprising of a polo neck, jeans, knee high boots and my fedora hat. You can get all my outfit details from last two posts here and here. I did however add a tan clutch bag that I got from boohoo a few months back for £8.00. One of the things I do love about winter is that you can pretty much get away with wearing the same outfit over and over as long as you change your coat. Your coat should be the statement piece and this coat definitely does that.

Hope you all have a lovely and blessed week. I’m off to watch a few more episodes of Mr and Mrs Underwood being bosses! God bless. Kiriish xx
